All Levels Adult Muay Thai
All Levels Adult Muay Thai
At Renegade Roots Thai Boxing, our All Levels Muay Thai program is designed for students who already have some experience and want to keep progressing in a structured, technical environment. It’s the next step after a fundamentals-style program or equivalent training, where you start to link your basics together, move at a quicker pace, and apply what you know under more realistic conditions. This class assumes you are familiar with core elements like stance, basic footwork, and how to throw standard strikes with reasonable form. From that base, the goal is to help you feel smoother, sharper, and more confident using your Muay Thai in real-time drills and controlled contact.
What You’ll Work On
All Levels emphasizes real skill development over random workouts, connecting fundamentals to more advanced ideas. You’ll work on:
-
Punches and combinations
Sharper jabs, crosses, hooks, and uppercuts, plus punch-to-kick transitions and basic boxing flow. -
Kicks, knees, and elbows
Refining rear and switch kicks, adding better setups, and integrating knees and elbows into meaningful combinations. -
Defense and timing
Blocking, checking, parrying, distance management, and rhythm, with simple patterns that improve your reactions and timing.
The goal is for your techniques to feel connected, not like isolated moves.
How Classes Are Structured
Each session follows a clear structure so you can build week to week. A typical class includes:
-
Warm-up with intent
Footwork and shadowboxing with specific prompts so you’re thinking about technique, not just getting warm. -
Theme of the day
A focused concept—like a combination, counter, or defensive idea—taught in a way that builds on your existing basics. -
Partner and pad rounds
Controlled partner drills and pad work that apply the day’s theme with increasing speed and intensity. -
Applied rounds
Situational or light, controlled sparring-style work to test timing and decision-making without going wild.
You leave each class with one or two clear technical takeaways, not just fatigue.
Who This Class Is For
All Levels is a good fit if you:
-
Have finished a fundamentals program or have similar experience
-
Can hold a stable stance, move your feet, and throw basic strikes with control
-
Want more partner work, timing, and realistic application of your skills
If you’re brand new, starting in a fundamentals class first will make this class much more productive and enjoyable.
Training Environment and Expectations
While this class is more demanding, the environment is still safe, respectful, and welcoming. You’ll train with people who take their practice seriously, but understand that everyone is at a different stage in the journey.
Coaches will:
-
Encourage good control and smart training habits
-
Match partners thoughtfully based on size, experience, and comfort level
-
Offer adjustments so you can push yourself without getting overwhelmed
You’re expected to come in ready to work, listen, and support your training partners, but you’re never pressured into doing contact or intensity you’re not prepared for. The aim is to help you build confidence, discipline, and respect through consistent, technical training—not to throw you into the deep end before you’re ready.
