Everyone progresses at a different pace, but most students begin noticing small improvements within their first few weeks. Techniques become more familiar, movement feels more natural, and your confidence grows with every class. Those small wins continue building over time, making your progress easy to see the longer you train.
That’s completely normal. Nobody arrives already knowing how to perform every technique. Your first class is about learning the fundamentals, asking questions, and becoming comfortable with the basics. Our coaches will guide you through each step, helping you build confidence without expecting perfection from day one.
Yes. Renegade Roots welcomes students at every experience level. While you’ll train alongside more experienced members at times, everyone remembers what it was like to be new. The focus stays on your own development, allowing you to learn at a pace that’s right for you while continuing to improve every class.
The more consistently you train, the more comfortable your movements become. Skills that feel unfamiliar during your first few classes gradually become second nature as you continue practicing. Every session builds on the last, making steady improvement part of the learning process.
Two or three classes each week is a great starting point for most students. That schedule gives you enough time to practice what you’ve learned, recover between sessions, and continue making steady progress. As your experience grows, you can always increase your training to match your goals.
